how i dream to see the sun extinguished
the tepid light of the moon flicker away
all the wandering stars darkening
until their dim lights fade
how the earth would swing blindly
lost in the darkness of eternal space
the rivers, the lakes, the ocean
all the waters would sit deathly still
ships would stand lifeless
rotting on the oceans above
a vast motionless abyss
without tide or surge
and the winds would wither away
into a dull stagnant air
the clouds following in suit
for darkness had no need of them
(it is she who is the universe)

a hollow sound which echoes in the mists
lamentations for days now distant
sounds that reach the quivering waters below
where upon the surface dies a golden foam
waters torn asunder by the solemn music
of a mangled, broken heart

that drizzle down the islands coast

the small boats that sail there
never coming back...
